Hello, I am Michael Handshy and I am a master craftsman in woodworking. I have over 20 years of experience working with wood. I discovered my passion for woodworking back in the 80's during my high school years. After some sole searching and praying I launched CTS Wood Design in Dallas in 2007. After building thousands of woodworking projects and cabinets for hundreds of homes I had the great opportunity to sell the company and retire in 2019.
I'm fascinated by using only my mind, hands and tools to create one of a kind pieces of art and furniture to become a part of your home and business. So, yes I am back in business taking on a limited amount of projects.
Also due to boredom and the desire to create and build wood projects, I have opened up a small shop at our new family farm near Union Valley, Texas.
Each piece is designed to fit the space and according to your requests. I start with a consultation to find out what you're looking for. Then, I will send you design sketches, and we'll work together to finalize a design you love. Then, I get to building!
I create pieces you can enjoy for years to come. If you ever encounter a design flaw or craftsmanship issue, I will fix or replace the piece–you only pay shipping. I'm also always available to help you maintain the look of your wood.
